Pulmonary Curriculum

Cape Fear Valley Health is committed to the mission of educating and training diverse, culturally competent physicians to practice in rural and underserved communities. Our physicians will be trained in pulmonary medicine principles which will further solidify our mission and provide additional tools to practice in rural areas. To achieve our goals, the program strives to:

• Recruit diverse fellows with a desire to serve rural and underserved areas
• Educate fellows in the art and science of pulmonary medicine using the most current evidenced based research in clinical and basic science
• Contribute to educational, scientific, clinical research and quality improvement
• Collaborate with community organizations and address ongoing healthcare needs and strengthen community partnerships.
