Volunteer Services

Are you searching for more opportunities to get out and about, make new friends, find ways to give back to the community and feel good about yourself - all are possible by becoming a volunteer with Cape Fear Valley.

The Volunteers of Cape Fear Valley Health aid in its mission to provide quality health care through non-medical assistance to staff, patients, and visitors. Auxiliary Volunteers also raise funds for equipment, projects, and building expansions. The 200 Volunteers serve in various capacities within Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Highsmith-Rainey Specialty Hospital, Health Pavilion North, and other locations.

Volunteering can be the beginning of a new and rewarding experience. Your warmth and caring will have a great impact on countless children and adult patients. There are a variety of Volunteer roles to fit individual time schedules, abilities, and interests to also include clerical assignments and non-medical duties.

Studies have found that seniors who volunteer have greater physical strength, improved cognitive function and less depression. Our dedicated Volunteers provide that personal touch to our customers. Energetic Volunteers of all ages and skills are welcome.

Volunteering is more than just a way to keep busy; it can be the beginning of a new and rewarding experience. Your warmth and caring will have a great impact on countless sick and lonely patients, some of whom are anxious children.
