Rehabilitation Nursing

Nursing staff at CFVRC consist of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Certified Nursing Assistants. Registered Nurses are responsible for directing the patient’s plan of care and collaborating with the therapists to facilitate achievement of patient goals. Rehabilitation nurse coverage is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Nursing Assistants and Licensed Practical Nurses work under the direction of the Registered Nurse. They assist in patient care and management of the physical environment.

The goal of rehabilitation nursing is to assist individuals with disability and /or chronic illness to attain and maintain maximum function.
