Therapists assist in the treatment of cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases, neurological diseases and disorders, fracture/trauma/orthopedic care, post-surgical care, as well as those with general debility.
Therapists work with patients to promote safe ambulation, instructing in the proper use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment, stair training, balance strategies, range of motion and strengthening exercises, self-care and home management strategies, as well as providing patients and family members with appropriate education.
An excellent example of the integral role our therapists play in patient care is the collaborative effort of the Race 2 Recovery Program.
