New pain clinic opens Monday, March 4

Cape Fear Valley Interventional Pain Specialists opens Monday, March 4, at 1205 Walter Reed Road, Fayetteville. This is the first clinic of its type in the Cape Fear Valley Health system and will treat patients with chronic pain of the spine, neck and back. The clinic is currently accepting new patients.

Judit Andrea Cope, MD, is the main provider at Cape Fear Valley Interventional Pain Specialists and has been in practice in Fayetteville since 2014. She is a board-certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation doctor, with fellowship training in interventional spinal procedures. She specializes in the nonsurgical treatment of conditions and injuries of the spine and musculoskeletal system.






Some of the interventional procedures offered by the clinic include:

• Cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacral transforaminal epidural steroid injections

• Sacroiliac joint injections

• Facet joint injections

• Cervical and lumbar medial branch blocks and radiofrequency ablation

• Stellate ganglion blocks

• Lumbar sympathetic ganglion blocks

• Peripheral joint/bursa injections and tendon sheath injections

• Peripheral nerve blocks

• Spinal cord stimulator trials

• Spasticity management with botulinum toxin

• Baclofen pump trial and management

• Migraine headaches and cervical dystonia treatment with botulinum toxin

Cape Fear Valley Interventional Pain Specialists is open Mondays through Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to Noon. For appointments, call (910) 615-7246 (PAIN).
