FAYETTEVILLE – March 24, 2020 – Like many other health systems nationwide, Cape Fear Valley Health’s supply chain for personal protective equipment (PPE) is feeling the stress of the COVID-19 outbreak.
The health system is asking the public for donations of PPE. The items we urgently need include:
- N-95 masks
- Disinfectant Wipes (Clorox, Lysol, Store Brand, etc)
- Rubbing Alcohol (70% Isopropyl)
- Hand Sanitizer (62% alcohol content or higher)
- Surgical masks
- Ear loop masks
- Nasal swabs for medical use
- Disinfectant spray
- Eye protection – to include safety goggles/glasses
- Face shields
- Gloves – disposable
- Gowns – disposable
- Shoe covers - disposable
- Liquid hand soap
Home crafters can also pick up fabric and instructions to make cloth masks at JoAnn Fabrics. If your community or church group is interested in making masks for the health system, please let us know.
