Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation will host its annual Step Up 4 Health & Wellness Expo on Saturday, March 28 at Methodist University, 5400 Ramsey St. Presented by Cumulus Media, the event will bring the community together for a morning focused on health, wellness and community engagement.

The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon, with opening ceremonies at 9:30 a.m. Participants can take part in a 4K or 1-mile walk, followed by a free wellness expo featuring more than 50 vendors, food trucks, music and health resources for all ages.

“The Step Up 4 Health & Wellness Expo is a wonderful opportunity to come together to focus on health and wellness while supporting several important patient care areas at Cape Fear Valley Health,” said Arianna Bannerman, development coordinator for Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation. “It is a fun morning intended for all ages. Whether you participate in the walk, take part in Zumba led by our HealthPlex instructors, or visit informational tables in the Wellness Expo, there is something for everyone. We are very thankful for Methodist University’s continued support. Their partnership allows us to expand the event each year, introduce fresh ideas and create new ways to engage our community in improving their health.”

The Wellness Expo begins at 10:15 a.m. and will feature Cape Fear Valley Health services, along with local businesses and community partners.

Participants may register individually or as part of a team and select a patient care area to support, including the Blood Donor Center, Friends of the Cancer Center, Community Alternatives Program, Cumberland County Medication Access Program, Children’s Services, Heart Care and nursing education scholarships. An “All-In” option is also available.

Registration is available at givesignup.org/Race/NC/Fayetteville/StepUp4HealthWellnessExpo, and day-of registration will be offered on-site. All registered participants will receive an event T-shirt.
