Mitchell Gore, MD

Mitchell R. Gore, MD, PhD, is a board-certified otolaryngologist with specialized fellowship training in rhinology and anterior skull base surgery. He was drawn to the field of ENT for its complex, interesting surgeries and the opportunity to care for a wide variety of patients. He earned both his medical degree and PhD in inorganic chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he also completed his residency and fellowship training.

Dr. Gore brings more than a decade of experience treating complex ear, nose, and throat conditions, with particular passion for managing sinus disease, sinonasal neoplasms, and cerebrospinal fluid leaks. He utilizes advanced, minimally invasive techniques to treat conditions such as chronic sinusitis, nasal polyps, and skull base tumors, always prioritizing safe, effective outcomes tailored to each patient.

Dr. Gore enjoys caring for patients of all ages and believes successful outcomes are rooted in shared decision-making and active patient participation. He takes time to listen to patient concerns, provide reassurance, and ensure patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their care—helping dispel the common misconception that ENT care is uncomfortable or intimidating.

Previously, Dr. Gore served as Chief of Rhinology and Anterior Skull Base Surgery at Greensboro ENT and currently holds a faculty appointment at SUNY Upstate Medical University. He is a widely published researcher and frequent national conference presenter, with work cited across rhinology, oncology, and skull base surgery. An active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and the North American Skull Base Society, Dr. Gore remains committed to advancing ENT care through clinical innovation, education, and academic excellence.
