Overview

Cape Fear Valley Pharmacy Residency Programs are designed to develop well-rounded pharmacist practitioners equipped with the knowledge, clinical skills, and professional abilities to deliver exceptional patient care to a diverse population. These programs also prepare residents to serve as effective educators and preceptors, and to pursue advanced training and professional growth in a flexible, supportive, learning environment.

The residency class includes eight PGY1 residents and two PGY2 residents. Our programs include a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program with two focuses – Acute Care and Ambulatory Care, a PGY1 Community Pharmacy Residency Program, and a PGY2 Internal Medicine Pharmacy Residency Program. Each program is designed to prepare residents for clinical practice, PGY2 training opportunities, and pursuit of board certification.
