Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation is pleased to announce Cumulus Media as the Presenting Sponsor for the Step Up 4 Health & Wellness Expo on Saturday, March 28 at Methodist University. This is the fifth year for the Step Up 4 Health & Wellness Expo, and the fourth time back at Methodist University’s campus. Last year’s event drew over 1,000 participants and over 50 vendors in the Wellness Expo.

“Cumulus Media is proud to be the Presenting Sponsor of the Step Up 4 Health & Wellness Expo for the fifth year in a row,” said Cumulus Media Key Accounts Manager, Pat Talkington. “Our team looks forward to this event every spring as this is a wonderful opportunity to focus on health and community, while supporting several important causes at Cape Fear Valley Health.”

The event will begin at 9 a.m. and includes an excuse to tie on your tennis shoes, with a 4k and a 1-mile race through Methodist University campus, as well as more activities throughout the Wellness Expo, which will be located at the Duggins Soccer Stadium. Participants can join as teams or individuals. Teams are encouraged for local business employees, running clubs, churches, community groups, sorority and fraternity groups, and in honor or remembrance of a loved one.

After the event kick-off at 10 a.m. the Wellness Expo will begin. This health-related educational festival will feature informational booths on many Cape Fear Valley Health services as well as food vendors, music, and sponsor tables. Participants can learn about hands-only CPR, get free wellness checks and other goodies.

Participants can support cancer care, children’s services, heart care, CAP (Community Alternatives Program), CCMAP (Cumberland County Medication Access Program), Blood Donor Center or the Nursing Education Scholarship with their registration fee.

“We are grateful to have Cumulus Media’s support as our Presenting Sponsor again this year,” said Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation Vice President Sabrina Brooks. “Their level of enthusiasm energizes our participants and amplifies the experience for all ages.”

Early-bird registration is $30 for adults and $25 for children (ages 4-12 years) through March 14. All registered participants will receive a T-shirt. To register, visit www.cfvfoundation.org.
