The Transitional Year curriculum is structured to provide residents with the fundamental knowledge and essential principles necessary to further training. To guarantee an optimal amount of training is given, each transitional year resident is required to complete: 

  • 3 Months Inpatient
  • 1 Month Night Medicine
  • 2 Months Emergency Medicine
  • 2 Months Ambulatory Medicine
  • 4 Months Elective (tailored to educational goals and interests)

Elective options include, but are not limited to the following. We will help create electives to match trainee needs.

Didactic sessions are coupled with the internal medicine residents and include morning report, noon conferences, journal club, M&M, and board review.
