Amer Hitto, DPM

Amer Hitto, DPM is a board-certified foot and ankle specialist with the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. He is dedicated to delivering compassionate, comprehensive care with a strong emphasis on patient education and long-term wellness.

Originally from Texas, Dr. Hitto earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in Cleveland, Ohio, and completed an intensive three-year surgical residency in foot and ankle surgery in North Carolina, where he served as Chief Resident for the entirety of his training. His leadership and advanced clinical experience prepared him to manage a wide spectrum of conditions ranging from routine foot care to complex surgical reconstruction.

Dr. Hitto is an attending physician at Cape Fear Valley Podiatry, where he sees patients across multiple clinic locations, including Fayetteville, Lumberton, and Elizabethtown. He provides expert treatment for all foot and ankle ailments, including diabetic foot care, limb salvage, reconstructive surgery, flatfoot correction, bunions, hammertoes, nail and skin disorders, and preventative foot health.

Dr. Hitto is especially passionate about working with patients living with diabetes. He strives to form meaningful connections and empower them with the knowledge and tools needed to protect their feet and improve their overall health.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Hitto enjoys quality time with his wife and their two young children. He values faith, family, and community, and brings those guiding principles into every aspect of his professional life.
