Amber Lavin, PA

Amber Lavin, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant specializing in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Cape Fear Valley Health. She earned her Master of Medical Science from Methodist University and completed her surgical training at Cape Fear Valley Health. Returning as a practicing Physician Assistant allows her to care for the same community that helped shape her as a provider.

Prior to joining the plastic surgery team, Amber practiced in spine and pain medicine as well as aesthetics. This experience strengthened her patient-centered approach and provided valuable insight into managing expectations and helping patients navigate recovery. She now works alongside Dr. Nordberg, caring for patients throughout their surgical journey and assisting with in-office procedures.

Amber is drawn to plastic and reconstructive surgery for its individualized nature and ability to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives. She is especially passionate about breast reconstruction following cancer treatment and strives to ensure every patient feels comfortable, heard, and well-informed throughout their care.
