Cape Fear Valley LifeLink Critical Care Transport is excited to announce the arrival of two brand-new ambulances. The vehicles, named LL-50 and LL-51, were built on RAM Promaster vans and purchased from a company in Henderson.

Once the ambulances are fully equipped and inspected by the North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services (NCOEMS), they will join the LifeLink fleet and begin serving patients across the region. These new vehicles support Cape Fear Valley Mobile Healthcare’s mission of transporting patients safely, quickly, and with high-quality care.

“As the Cape Fear Valley Health System continues to grow, LifeLink grows with it,” said Matthew Niccoli, RN, Operations Supervisor of LifeLink. “These new ambulances are equipped with advanced technology, allowing us to care for all types of patients from those needing basic medical transport to those in critical condition. We’re thrilled to add them to our team.”

Getting new ambulances takes time. Because each vehicle must be custom-built, fully outfitted, and carefully inspected, the process can take 12 to 18 months from order to delivery. The arrival of LL-50 and LL-51 is a major investment in both advanced medical equipment and community health.

The new ambulances will help improve response times, increase transport capacity, and offer better care during travel whether moving patients between hospitals or responding to emergencies in remote areas.

LifeLink is an important part of Cape Fear Valley’s health system, making sure patients can get to the care they need. By expanding its fleet, Cape Fear Valley is improving emergency services and supporting better health outcomes for people across the area.
