Cape Fear Valley Health is pleased to announce that Michael Tart has been named Chief Operating Officer.

Tart most recently served as Interim Chief Operating Officer after Dan Weatherly was appointed Chief Executive Officer. During his time in the interim role, he demonstrated strong leadership, operational excellence and a deep commitment to employees, providers and patients across the health system.

Tart has been part of the Cape Fear Valley Health family for more than 10 years and also serves as President of Cape Fear Valley Harnett Healthcare and President of Cape Fear Valley Highsmith Rainey Specialty Hospital.

Throughout his career, he has held several leadership roles across the organization and has played an important role in strengthening operations, supporting clinical teams and expanding access to care for the communities Cape Fear Valley Health serves.
