First Federal Bank has pledged $100,000 in support of Cape Fear Valley Health’s new Adolescent Behavioral Health Center on the Central Harnett Hospital campus, strengthening access to much-needed mental and behavioral health services for youth in Harnett County and surrounding communities.

The Adolescent Behavioral Health Center will expand Cape Fear Valley Health’s continuum of care by providing age-appropriate, specialized services for adolescents experiencing behavioral health challenges. The new center is designed to improve access to timely care close to home, reduce barriers for families and support long-term wellness for young patients.

“Quality healthcare in Harnett County is vital to our economic growth and quality of life,” said Jeff Whittington, president and CEO of First Federal Bank. “We are proud to support the Adolescent Behavioral Health Center and invest in a project that will make a lasting difference for families and for the future of our community.”

Founded in 1934, First Federal Bank is a community-focused financial institution with deep roots in Harnett County and the surrounding region. The bank is committed to supporting local initiatives that promote economic development, education and community well-being. Its $100,000 pledge reflects an ongoing dedication to improving quality of life through strategic investments in essential services.

Cape Fear Valley Health leaders said the donation will play an important role in advancing behavioral health services for adolescents, an area of growing need across the region.

The Adolescent Behavioral Health Center will be located on the Central Harnett Hospital campus in Lillington, further strengthening the hospital’s role as a hub for comprehensive, community-based care in western Harnett County.
