Cody Chavis, director of lifeLINK Air and lifeLINK Specialty Care at Cape Fear Valley Health, has been named one of the Association of Air Medical Services’ 2026 40 Under 40 Rising Leaders in Medical Transport.

The Association of Air Medical Services’ 40 Under 40 Rising Leaders in Medical Transport recognition celebrates emerging professionals who are making an impact in the medical transport industry. The program highlights individuals who demonstrate leadership, innovation and a commitment to advancing patient care and the future of medical transport.

Chavis oversees lifeLINK Air and lifeLINK Specialty Care, which provide specialized medical transportation for critically ill and injured patients throughout the region.

“I’m incredibly humbled to have been selected for this recognition and proud to represent both Cape Fear Valley Health System and the extraordinary men and women of LifeLink,” Chavis said. “At the end of the day, what we do has always been about taking care of people during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. There is an incredible amount of trust placed in us during those moments, and that is something we never take lightly. It is a privilege to serve our patients and our communities, and I believe we do that exceptionally well.”
