Cape Fear Valley Health held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday, Oct. 30, to celebrate the opening of its newest clinic, SameDay Medical, located at 6201 Raeford Road in Fayetteville.

The event featured remarks from health system leaders, refreshments, and an opportunity for guests to meet the providers.

SameDay Medical offers convenient walk-in medical services including treatment for minor injuries, infections, flu and cold symptoms, allergies, sprains, and cuts. Patients can also schedule same-day appointments when they wake up feeling ill but are unable to see their primary care provider. Patients are charged a primary care copay rather than the higher urgent care rate.

“We are pleased to announce the opening of our new SameDay Medical clinic, which reflects our commitment to improving access to care for our community,” said Jennifer Ray, corporate director of Primary Care. “We’re giving patients more choice in how they receive care. Patients can now walk in and be treated the same day.”

Cape Fear Valley SameDay Medical clinics are staffed by experienced advanced practitioners and supported by on-site lab and X-ray services, allowing patients to receive care and answers quickly, all in one place.

Appointments can be scheduled at capefearvalley.com/samedaymedical or through MyChart.
