Lighthouse Society
Cape Fear Valley Health maintains the Lighthouse Society to assist employees who experience unexpected and catastrophic events, such as serious illness, or major loss or property which may cause financial distress.
All full-time, part-time, and per diem employees who have successfully completed their probationary period are eligible to apply.
Fitness & Wellness Center
At 65,000 square feet, the HealthPlex at Cape Fear Valley is Fayetteville’s largest fitness and wellness center. Whether you are starting your health journey or taking your workout to the next level, we have the equipment and classes you are looking for. Employees receive discounted rates and can enroll in payroll deduction to pay for their memberships.
Pastoral Care
Pastoral Care is provided by a Board Certified/Board Certified Eligible Professional, or specially trained Volunteer clergy or lay leader. Examples of such care include emotional, spiritual, religious, pastoral, ethical, and/existential care. At Cape Fear Valley Health, a Chaplain is trained to attend to the spiritual and emotions dimension of health care.

Our Employee Health department is a dedicated and specialize practice that provided essential medical and preventive care to support the health system. Practice guidelines are derived from respected sources such as Nursing Practice, CDC, Joint Commission, OSHA, ADA, DOT, etc.We actively monitor and report environmental health hazards through reporting mechanisms such as:
- Safety Improvement Report (SIR)
- First Notice of Injury or Illness (FROI)
Additional safeguards throughout the health system include Emergency Codes and Safety Data Sheets.
