About Whitney Garner, DPM
Dr. Whitney Garner is a board-certified podiatrist at Cape Fear Valley Podiatry Associates in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She is certified by both the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, with extensive experience in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery.
Dr. Garner earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine and holds a Master of Public Health in Health Behavior from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She completed her residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery with Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle credentials at Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, NC.
A U.S. Air Force veteran, Dr. Garner served as a podiatric surgeon and element leader at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska, where she provided comprehensive foot and ankle care for active duty service members, veterans, and their families. She is also a graduate of the Squadron Officer School and Commissioned Officer Training School at Maxwell Air Force Base.
At Cape Fear Valley, Dr. Garner treats a wide range of foot and ankle conditions and serves as teaching faculty, helping train podiatric residents in a high-volume, multi-hospital system. Her clinical interests include surgical correction of deformities, diabetic foot care, and injury prevention. She is passionate about education and collaborative care that improves outcomes for patients across all ages.
