About Stephanie Hays Gooden, PA-C
Stephanie H. Gooden is a certified Physician Assistant with a strong foundation in primary care, emergency medicine, and women’s health. She earned her Master of Physician Assistant Practice from Campbell University in 2019 and holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
Her clinical training included diverse rotations across multiple specialties such as orthopedics, internal medicine, psychiatry, pediatrics, general surgery, and medical aesthetics. Stephanie has a particular interest in holistic, patient-centered care and has completed additional certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS). She is also trained in SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment) and FEMA Incident Command Systems.
Prior to becoming a PA, Stephanie worked as a pharmacy technician and certified nursing assistant, experiences that deepened her understanding of patient care across the healthcare continuum. She has been active in professional organizations including the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the North Carolina Association of Physician Assistants (NCAPA).
Stephanie is passionate about community engagement, having volunteered with free clinics, blood drives, highway cleanups, and health education events. Known for her empathetic communication and commitment to clinical excellence, she is dedicated to improving health outcomes in the communities she serves.
