About Emilee Hammonds, NP
Emilee’s desire to care for others blossomed at an early age. Growing up in Lumberton, North Carolina, she found herself caring for her grandmother who had been diagnosed with cancer in 1997. Emilee’s commitment to her grandmother was unwavering, spending many nights ensuring her comfort and well-being. It gave her a gift to care for the people in the community.
Emilee began her nursing career at Fayetteville Technical Community College. She furthered her education by obtaining a Bachelor’s degree from Fayetteville State University and Master's degree from South University in Savannah, Georgia equipping herself with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the healthcare field.
Her career started as an Oncology Hematology Inpatient Nurse at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Her dedication and passion for patient care is evident in her work, making her a respected member of the medical community. Currently, she continues to extend her knowledge and expertise at Cape Fear Valley Hematology/Oncology at Health Pavilion North Cancer Center as a Licensed Nurse Practitioner, where she enjoys working with patients and tailoring their care to meet their needs.
Throughout her career, Emilee has remained passionate, kind and dedicated to her patients. Her approach to advanced healthcare is both compassionate and personalized, ensuring every patient receives the attention and care they deserve. Emilee's journey from a young caregiver to a skilled nurse practitioner is a testament to her unwavering commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
