About Cynthia Johnston, NP

Cynthia Johnston, Nurse Practitioner, obtained her Associate Degree in Nursing from Medical Careers Institute in 2006. Her first nursing job was in a combined critical care unit. In 2008, she returned to North Carolina to work in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU) at Duke Health where she worked for 15 years.

She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2012. In 2022, she obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from Simmons University.

Johnston came to Cape Fear Valley Health in 2023 as the Advanced Practice Provider for Cape Fear Valley Infusion & Injection Services in Lillington. She is committed to expanding access to high-quality infusion and injection therapies for patients in and around Harnett County.

Outside of work, Johnston enjoys arts and crafts, listening to music and attending concerts. She values spending time with her husband, daughter and their two dogs.
