Christopher Belyea, MD

Dr. Christopher M. Belyea is a double board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hand, shoulder, elbow, and upper extremity care. Board certified in both Orthopaedic Surgery and Surgery of the Hand, he provides comprehensive, patient-centered treatment for a wide range of conditions and injuries.

Dr. Belyea earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Tripler Army Medical Center before pursuing advanced Hand and Microsurgery Fellowship training at the Walter Reed and Curtis National Hand Center. He also holds an M.B.A. from Brandeis University.

In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Belyea serves as Associate Program Director for the Womack Cape Fear Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program and is an Associate Professor at the Methodist University Cape Fear Valley Health School of Medicine. A Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves and former active-duty Army physician, he remains dedicated to surgical education, research, and delivering exceptional orthopaedic care.
