Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Overview

The Cape Fear Valley Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine (PCCM) Fellowship Program is dedicated to providing high-quality, personalized pulmonary and critical care to the patients of Cumberland County and surrounding communities. Our program serves a medically underserved patient population, with a strong focus on improving access to care while training the next generation of diverse and culturally competent physicians to practice in rural and underserved communities.

We are proud to offer a fully ACGME-accredited three-year PCCM fellowship, designed to provide comprehensive training in pulmonary and critical care medicine through a balance of clinical experience, procedural training, and research opportunities. Fellows gain exposure to a wide range of pulmonary disorders, critical illness management, and advanced procedures, preparing them for careers in both academic and community settings.

In addition to our three-year PCCM fellowship, we also offer a Critical Care Medicine (CCM) track, a two-year training program for those interested in specializing in critical care medicine only.
