The Emergency Medicine Residency at Cape Fear Valley Health strives to train future physicians to improve the quality of every life they touch. Cape Fear is an active trauma, stroke, and heart center enjoying top performer status in several disease specific certifications.
The faculty at Cape Fear is comprised of a diverse group of physicians with a wealth of academic, military and community experience. Additionally, several of the faculty have fellowship training in specialty areas including Peds EM, EMS, Underwater and Hyperbaric Medicine, Internal Medicine, Ultrasound, Hospital and ED Administration, and Wilderness Medicine.
With a unique patient mix that combines rural, urban, suburban, civilian, and military populations, we provide quality care to over 130,000 patients in our Adult and Pediatric Emergency Department, making us the busiest Emergency Department in the state of NC and one of the top twenty in the nation for over a decade.
