The Student Nurse Intern Program is a summer paid internship for selected BSN Students currently enrolled in a state accredited nursing program and an rising senior.
If selected, the intern will be expected to work 40 hours a week during the program at Cape Fear Valley Health. Interns will provide patient care under the guidance of the unit staff. You will have the opportunity to observe, interact and work as a team member with nurses and other health care disciplines.
This summer program is from May through August. During the first two weeks of the internship it is mandatory to attend hospital and patient services orientation. Upon completion of the internship, you may have the opportunity to continue employment at Cape Fear Valley Health.
Requirements
This program will allow you to experience direct patient care ("hands-on" experience) in a clinical area of interest. Placement for the summer program will be offered in clinical areas with respect to the applicant's qualifications and availability of unit positions.

Complete an online application beginning March 24 through April 30. The position will be listed under the RN-Summer BSN Extern/Intern category.
All required documents must be received by Cape Fear Valley Health Human Resources Department no later than April 30. You may email your required documents (excluding Official Transcripts) to Margaret Bullard at sbullard@capefearvalley.com. Mailed Documents must be postmarked no later than April 30.

2. Current Official Transcripts from an Accredited School of Nursing College. Transcripts must be mailed directly from your School to the Human Resources Department, Attn:Margaret Bullard. (If hand delivering transcripts to the Human Resources Department, do not open the envelope that contains your transcripts. Unsealed transcripts will not be accepted).
