Emergency Department
Cape Fear Valley Medical Center’s new Emergency Department is the place to go for serious illness or injury, such as:
• Severe pain
• Severe bleeding
• Difficulty breathing
• Stroke symptoms
• Compound bone fractures that break through the skin
• Chest pain or other signs of a heart attack
• Loss of consciousness
• Severe asthma attacks
• Seizures
The Emergency Department and Children's Emergency Department are both open 24 hours a day and are located at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. The Emergency Department is on the first floor of Valley Pavilion, our new six-story patient tower. The departments face Village Drive near Owen Drive.
The Children's Emergency Department has moved into its new location on the north side of the medical center, facing Melrose Road, near Owen Drive.
Patients needing treatment of minor illness or injury can visit one of Cape Fear Valley's three ExpressCare facilities. To learn more about ExpressCare click here.
