Radiation Oncology: Precision Is Power

Planning Your Treatment

Treatment Planning In 3-D
Using the 3-D treatment-planning computer, oncologists can map more precisely cancerous areas located within body cavities and tissue. The treatment planning computer is an integrated program of digital, computer, x-ray and virtual reality technology.

CT Simulation
Another innovation is the CT Simulator, which allows the radiation oncologist to more accurately plan a course of treatment. Rather than manually performing the radiation dosing calculations, the CT Simulator uses the latest dosimetric treatment planning software to calculate the dosage directly. This technology reduces the amount of time the patient must spend in the Simulator.
