Sajjad A. Malick, M.D.
A native of Pakistan, Dr. Malick received his medical degree from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan in 1987. He completed an internship in Medicine and Surgery at Civil Hospital in Karachi, Pakistan in 1989.
Dr. Malick completed an internal medicine residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois in 1993 and a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at the University of Maryland Cancer Center in Baltimore, Md. In 1996. During his fellowship he took an active part in clinical trials and research protocols in the treatment of metastatic colon cancer, lymphoma, head and neck cancer and leukemia.
Dr. Malick received specialty board certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1995, sub-specialty board certification in medical oncology in 1999 and sub-specialty board certification in hematology in 2001.
Prior to joining Dr. Bakri in the Medical Oncology Department of The Cancer Center in August 1999, Dr. Malick was a hospitalist and consultant at Barnwell County Hospital and Palmetto Internal Medicine and Sub Specialty Associates in Barnwell, South Carolina from 1997 to 1999.
Dr. Malick is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the North Carolina Medical Society.
