The
Cancer Center
Cape
Fear Valley Cancer Center provides
comprehensive treatment options for cancer patients. Treatment
options include medical oncology (chemotherapy),
radiation oncology and surgery. The program is accredited by
the American College of Surgeons
Commission on Cancer.
Our approach to cancer treatment
is multi-disciplinary, meaning that our team of specialists
collaborates to provide comprehensive care that meets the
physical and emotional needs of cancer patients and their
families.
We emphasize patient education
and ongoing support through our Resource Center,
which features a wealth of the most current, cancer-related
information. And we offer four support groups each month,
which provide information as well as a forum for sharing and
support.
For
our patients who are receiving treatment or those who have
completed treatment, the Oasis
Complementary Medicine Program
offers an array of services that address the mind, body and
soul. These individual sessions and group classes complement
conventional therapies.
The Radiation Oncology
Department offers leading edge technology, including a
revolutionary CT simulator, Intensity Modulated Radiation
Therapy (IMRT) and Image-Guided Radiation Treatment, the most advanced form of 3-D treatment
available.
The Medical Oncology
Department offers chemotherapy in a comfortable outpatient
setting. Patients may also enroll in clinical trials that
may offer improved treatment options or, in some cases, new hope
when conventional treatment has failed.
At the Health
Pavilion North Cancer Center we’re excited to offer medical oncology and radiation oncology to
residents of northern Cumberland County, Sampson County and
Harnett County. Our cancer patients can now receive the treatment they need
closer to their families and friends.
