Sleep Center
How’s your sleep? Do you snore, gasp for breath, wake up throughout the night or fall asleep during the day? These are actually signs of a sleep disorder.
Cape Fear Valley Sleep Center is the only center accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) in Cumberland County. It is directed by Sam Fleishman, M.D., who has been board-certified in sleep medicine since 1997.
The Sleep Center staff treats a variety of sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy (daytime sleepiness), periodic limb movement disorder and restless legs syndrome.
Sleep disorders are serious. Left untreated, they may result in a serious medical condition, such as heart disease, high blood pressure and stroke.
