FAYETTEVILLE – Cape Fear Valley Health has been awarded a Supply Chain Excellence Award for a second straight year.
The national quality award was presented by Premier, Inc., an alliance of approximately 3,900 hospitals and more than 150,000 other provider organizations.
The Supply Chain Excellence Award recognizes high-value purchasing practices of hospitals and facilities, which help maintain a healthy bottom line while meeting patient needs.
Cape Fear Valley Health is one of just 13 hospitals nationwide to win the award for 2019. It was just one of 14 hospitals to win the same award in 2018.
Winners are chosen based on supply expenses compared to total operating expenses, net patient revenue, patient length of stay, and patient discharges.
