RAEFORD – Hoke Healthcare has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval TM for healthcare quality in the areas of Total Hip replacement surgery and Total Knee replacement surgery.
Established in 2016 and awarded for a two-year period, the certification process was developed in response to a growing number of patients undergoing total hip or total knee replacement surgery.
Disease-specific programs that successfully demonstrate compliance with national standards for care, evidence-based clinical care, and taking an organizational approach toward performance improvement are awarded the certification.
Hoke Hospital began performing total hip and knee replacement surgery last year. Bradley Broussard, M.D., and James Flanagan, M.D., from Cape Fear Orthopedics, perform the surgeries.
