Black Daggers Parachute Team To Jump Onto Cape Fear Valley Campus

FAYETTEVILLE – June 11, 2020 – The U.S. Army Special Operations Command Parachute Demonstration Team, the Black Daggers, will be jumping onto Cape Fear Valley Medical Center’s campus as a salute to all of Cape Fear Valley Health’s medical professionals.

The jump will occur at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Friday, June 12, weather conditions permitting.

A small group of health system employees and administration officials will be on the Owen Drive campus front lawn to represent various units from the medical center. Units represented will include the Emergency Department, intensive care units, radiology and surgical operating rooms.

The Black Daggers is comprised entirely of volunteers from throughout the Army Special Operations community. They have diverse backgrounds and possess various military specialties. The team represents the professionalism and dedication of Special Operations Forces and performs aerial demonstrations in support of U.S. Army Special Operations Command community outreach and recruiting efforts. The team is based at Fort Bragg.

ATTENTION MEDIA: Cape Fear Valley Medical Center is located at 1638 Owen Drive in Fayetteville and parking will be provided for media outlets. Visitation at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center is strictly limited due to COVID-19 restrictions, so the general public will not be allowed on campus to view the jump demonstration.
