Cape Fear Valley Names New Human Resources VP

William B. Pryor has been appointed Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Cape Fear Valley Health System.

Pryor, 47, is a native of Washington, D.C., and has almost 20 years of Human Resources experience. He was previously Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Catholic Healthcare Partners in Springfield, Ohio, where he oversaw 3,500 employees for a three-hospital, long-term-care healthcare system. Prior to that he was Vice President of Human Resources at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C.

Pryor earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Urban Studies from Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H. He received a Master of Education degree in Administration in Institutional Policy Studies from the University of Chicago’s Department of Education in Chicago, Ill.

At Cape Fear Valley, Pryor will oversee a staff of more than 4,000 employees who work within the 619-bed, four-hospital system. Cape Fear Valley is Cumberland County’s largest private employer.
