Intermediate Group Exercise Classes
Level II classes are designed for members who are familiar with group exercise and wish to exercise at a moderate-to-high pace. High- and low-intensity options are shown. Level II classes have a longer cardiovascular component and include abdominal work.
This class fuses hypnotic latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a dynamic fitness class that will blow you away. Let’s face it, working out can be healthy, rewarding and beneficial. Working out can be lots of things but it’s never been known to be much fun until now. Join us for 45 minutes of dancing that you won’t want to miss.
So You Think You Can Dance
This class is designed to shed unwanted pounds without even realizing that you are working out. For 45 minutes you will burn calories and shake your groove thing. There will be many styles of dance introduced in this class so you never know what you will get until you get there. Wear comfortable clothing and worn shoes (or dance shoes) and bring your flava!
The instructor will lead you through 5 - 10 minute intervals of high-low, sep and/or kickboxing modalities while inserting short segments of strength exercises. This is a great class for cardiovascular and strength training.
This class is 30 minutes of abdominal and back exercises designed to tone and strengthen the torso and develop your abdominal area to its fullest potential. Intermediate and advanced exercisers will use exercise balls.
Stretch & Breathe
Using yoga principles, your instructor will encourage you to relax, stretch and focus your mental energy into your physical being.
Designed for all ages and fitness levels, Bodypump® delivers real results, real fast. It’s a great workout that uses barbells with adjustable weights – you choose how light or how heavy. You’ll work every major muscle group in the body as you work out to motivating music. BO® strengthens, tones and defines like nothing else.
Group Cycle is a great exercise for all ages because you control your workout by adjusting the resistance on your bike. Certified instructors will motivate you as they guide you through hills and other imagined challenges. As you work out under your instructor’s guidance, you’ll gain increased cardio-respiratory endurance, aerobic capacity and strength, while adding muscle and burning fat.
Pilates incorporates gentle, yet challenging, exercises focused for increased strength, stability and tone through the core (torso). Pilates can help improve your posture, flatten your stomach and strengthen your back.
Increase your flexibility, strength, endurance and mental focus. It is appropriate for all ages and fitness levels. In this class you’ll learn theory and practice from our certified yoga instructors. Our instructors will give you individualized instruction according to your needs.
This is a challenging yoga class designed to improve health, performance and mental acuity of athletes or individuals interested in improving their level of fitness. Based on the ancient fitness science of Hatha yoga, it blends balance, strength, flexibility and power in a fitness format emphasizing movement through breath.
T’ai Chi is a Chinese martial art that uses slow, deliberate movements and posture holding to strengthen and relax the body, and improve balance and coordination. T’ai Chi is a great stress reliever. It’s a fantastic program for all ages and fitness levels.
This is 45 minutes of work designed to target your hips, abs, buns and incredible thighs. You will strengthen and tone those trouble spots to great music and high energy. We will use the step, the ball, the bodybar, the resistance bands and more to whip those areas into shape.
This class is a high energy, kick butt, body changing interval/circuit style class that is like nothing you have done before. If you are bored with the same old routine or just need a boost in your workout this class is for you. Are you looking for a class with no coordination required to help you lose those unwanted pounds? You won’t want to miss this.
Aquatic Group Exercise Classes
Aquatic exercise offers participants the opportunity to stay fit with less impact to the joints. Exercising in the water offers 12 times the resistance of air, therefore providing the ability to train the cardiovascular, pulmonary and musculoskeletal systems. Aquatic exercise is beneficial to all individuals, including those who have contraindications to exercising on land due to injuries or other limitations. Our Aquatic classes are taught by nationally certified instructors who offer multi-level classes that can challenge both the advanced exerciser and the beginner. If you have any medical problems, please let your instructor know. He or she will offer modifications of specific exercises to meet your needs.
A moderate-intensity water exercise class. This class focuses on aerobic conditioning, overall toning and increased flexibility.
A 30-minute water walking session held in the shallow side of the pool. You’ll do interval training and strength training while walking against your own resistance.
This is a great class for aerobic training and body conditioning, since water offers 12 times the resistance of air. The class format consists of a warm- up, cardiovascular training, muscle strengthening and a cool- down and stretch phase. Gain all the benefits of an aerobic workout without the excessive impact on joints.
Deep Water Fitness
This is a deep-water class, although you do not have to be a swimmer to participate. You will use Aqua Joggers; float belts, flippers, kickboards or barbells to develop cardiovascular endurance, muscle strength, and body toning.
This is a 30- minute session in the shallow side of the pool that combines intervals of cardiovascular training with strength training segments.
