Mission Statement
Goal:
The goal of the
Continuing Medical Education Program of Cape Fear Valley Health
System is to promote and assist the physician with their life long
professional development that will result in cost-effective, high
quality, comprehensive care provided to patients. CME is to enhance
the physician’s ability to care for patients and, in doing so,
will enhance the primary mission of Cape Fear Valley Health System.
Scope:
The CME program is
intended to provide and enhance knowledge and skills of physicians
of all disciplines in areas of medical information,
process/performance improvement, practice management or corporate
compliance.
Target Audience:
The focus of the
CME Program is the educational needs of Physicians of Cape Fear
Valley Health System Medical Staff, employed Physicians, and
regional physicians of Cumberland and surrounding counties.
Activities and Services:
Educational
activities are intended to be of high quality, objective, balanced
and scientifically rigorous and are in compliance with Essential
Areas and Policies of the North Carolina Medical Society (NCMS)
through the Accreditation Council on Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).
The format of the educational activity may be a symposia, workshops,
grand rounds, short educational activities, or repeating series.
