Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation Circle of Friends Gala
Pictured here are members of the committee for Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation's Circle of Friends Gala which was held on January 22 at Highland Country Club. The event was chaired by Teresa Elliott and Reshma Patel. The Gala raised more than $132,000. Since 2007, the Circle of Friends Gala has raised more than $409,000 to support the six Friends Groups of Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation and the Diabetes and Endocrine Center. The Friends groups and the volunteers that direct them help develop programs to assist patients with needs that contribute to the healing process.

Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation, The Fayetteville Observer, and Beasley Broadcasting are co-sponsoring a special event to help hundreds of children right here at home.
On Thursday, May 20, 2010, a specially wrapped edition of The Fayetteville Observer will be available for sale for $1 at different locations in Fayetteville, Spring Lake, Stedman, and Hope Mills. For each paper sold, 75 cents will go to benefit children’s services at Cape Fear Valley Health System.
We cordially invite you to join us as a volunteer for this event that will make a difference in the lives of hundreds of children at Cape Fear Valley.
Proceeds will be used to help the children and their families we serve at Cape Fear Valley. Services for children include emergency medical care, neonatal intensive care, pediatric intensive care, asthma treatment and education, cancer support and education, Friends of Children support, Friends of the Cancer Center support, and Friends of Stanton Hospitality House support.

5th Annual RibbonWalk for Cancer
In the fall, the Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation’s Friends of the Cancer Center join forces to host the RibbonWalk For Cancer. In 2009, the walk hosted more than 600 walkers and raised more than $65,000 to benefit cancer patients in our area.
This year's walk will be held on Saturday, Nov. 13, at Festival Park in downtown Fayetteville. Registration begins at 9 a.m. The walk begins at 10 a.m.
