Bladen County Hospital’s Emergency Department is open, fully staffed and operational 24 hours a day.We are designed and equipped to facilitate the safe and effective care of patients in any emergency, such as:

    • Severe pain
    • Severe bleeding
    • Difficulty breathing
    • Stroke symptoms
    • Compound bone fractures that break through the skin
    • Chest pain or other signs of a heart attack
    • Loss of consciousness
    • Severe asthma attacks
    • Seizures

Bladen County Hospital’s Emergency Department participates in Code STEMI for heart attack patients and Code STROKE for stroke patients. These programs facilitate faster response times and smoother transfers to other facilities.
