Cumberland County's population has grown by 20,000 people in the last 10 years. With this increase in population becomes a greater need for hospital care.
In order to better serve our community, Cape Fear Valley Health is filing a Certificate of Need with the state to add 34 acute care beds at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Cape Fear Valley's acute care beds are filled to capacity on a daily basis. Our high census results in Emergency Department patients waiting for a bed when they need to be admitted.
You can help Cape Fear Valley bring these much needed beds to our community by clicking Community Letter and submitting your letter. Your letter will accompany our Certificate of Need application to the state.
With your help, and the approval of this Certificate of Need, these additional needs will provide greater access to hospital care for all our citizens.
