The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) surveys hospital facilities to evaluate compliance with nationally established JCAHO standards.

Cape Fear Valley Health System has been continuously accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations since 1959. We received our most recent three-year reaccredidation in 2006.

Anyone believing that they have pertinent and valid information about quality-of-care issues or the safety of the care environment in our hospitals is encouraged to contact JCAHO.
